For solo business owners struggling to launch their website

Here’s exactly how we get you from stuck to launched.

Every step, every call, and the full price — all of it on this page, so you can decide on your own time.

Here’s the whole story

Your Website Unlocked is a done-with-you website service for people whose website has been stuck in their head for months. Sometimes years. (In my case, it was decades.) In as little as two weeks of working together, we take it from “I can’t even think about it anymore” to a live website you’re proud to send to potential clients.

It works differently than hiring an agency or fighting a website builder at midnight, because it starts in a different place. Before we touch a single design decision, we figure out why this hasn’t happened yet for you. Then the process becomes the scaffold your brain has been asking for all these years: the structure and support you’ve never been able to find on your own.

Does this sound familiar?

You’ve tried to launch your business website before. Maybe more than once.

You’ve tried the “easy” website builders. The tantalizing AI buttons that promise a site in minutes. Maybe you’ve even hired a design agency.

But each attempt has left you feeling increasingly overwhelmed. Stuck. Ashamed.

And now, without a website:

What started as a nagging task has become something heavier: a source of shame that is actively holding your business back.

You know it’s costing you money. You’ve known for a while.

The longer this goes on, the bigger it all feels. The project that should open doors just keeps getting harder to face.

You want to move past it.

But right now, launching feels impossible.

Why you’re actually stuck

Most web designers would look at your situation and start talking about platforms and templates and timelines. They’d start with what to build.

But that’s not what you need.

You already know the usual ways don’t work for you. That’s how you got here.

Look. You’re not stuck because you’re lazy.

You’re not stuck because you picked the wrong tool.

You’re stuck because something deeper keeps slamming the brakes: perfectionism, overwhelm, self-doubt, or a brain that just doesn’t work the way the website-builder ads assume it does.

I start with why you’re stuck.

Because I’ve been there — stuck on my own website for almost 20 years, building sites for everyone else while mine stayed locked in my head. It took an ADHD diagnosis at 50 for me to understand why. And it changed how I build: not just my own site, but the way I work with anyone who is stuck.

This is for you if…

You run your own business — maybe consulting, coaching, a creative practice, a service you’ve built from scratch. The work is personal. You are the brand, whether you’d put it that way or not.

You’re good at what you do. People hire you, refer you, and trust you with real problems. But when it comes to your own website, something short-circuits.

Maybe it’s perfectionism. You hold yourself to a standard that’s a gift in your work and a curse when it’s pointed at your own site. Maybe it’s overwhelm: too many choices, too many platforms, too many opinions, and no clear path through. Maybe your brain functions differently and the way everyone else seems to do this just … doesn’t work for you.

You’ve tried. Really tried. And each failed attempt made the next one harder to start.

You don’t need another tool. You don’t need more motivation. You need a different approach — one that was built just for you.

What changes when you launch

It’s obvious, but it’s also the whole point, so let’s just say it: you have a website. Professional, hand-built, and yours — in as little as two weeks.

No template you wrestle with alone. Not a project that drags on for months while your perfectionism picks it apart. A real site, built together, live and working before the doubt has time to take over.

But launching is just phase one.

Your network can refer you now. Your past client, your spouse, your friend who keeps saying “you should really talk to…” — they finally have something to send. You stop losing work to people who simply showed up online. You breathe easier, knowing you have more energy to spend on the rest of your business.

And you walk away with more than a site. You also learn a repeatable process — launch, gather feedback, improve — that keeps your site getting better as your business changes. Every version teaches you something, and the confidence builds from there.

It’s the end of being stuck.

This is the process I needed.

I’ve had my own website design business for almost 20 years. I’m self-taught. Never took a design class, a business class, or a programming class. I learned by doing, by getting things wrong, by figuring out my own way when what worked for everyone else didn’t click. (In retrospect, that was probably a clue.)

In that time, I’ve built websites for small businesses, research centers, software agencies, nonprofits. Hundreds of projects. I know how to build a site that works.

I just couldn’t build one for me.

To be blunt: it felt awful. Every time I would buy a domain, roll up my sleeves to design and build … and then lock up. Each abandoned attempt deepened my shame and eroded my confidence. And my business suffered. Without a website of my own, new clients were hard to find. Even people who wanted to refer me couldn’t. Year after year, it got harder to hold things together. Until I ultimately burnt out.

Then I got diagnosed with ADHD at 50.

Suddenly I understood why my brain had been fighting me my whole career. And it changed everything: how I saw myself and how I work. I stopped trying to force the conventional approach and started designing around how brains actually function when they’re stuck.

I built this process because I had to.

Here’s what that looks like in practice — the four qualities I needed, and what they mean for you:

I offer something most web designers can’t: the craft to create a site that works and the hard-won understanding of what’s been keeping you from getting there.

The process, start to finish

It starts with a conversation — either a quick 15-minute call or over email — to make sure that we’re a good fit before you pay anything.

Once we get your project scheduled, we’ll move through three focused phases, each one building on the last.

  1. Launch: A live, professional website in as little as two weeks

This is the core unlock. We move fast on purpose. A compressed timeline is how we keep perfectionism from running the show.

    • Welcome call: We talk about what’s been in the way, what you need from a process, how you like to work. We shape the project around your brain from the beginning.
    • Onboarding questionnaire: We don’t start with a blank page. You provide the basics of your business at your pace. Short version or extended version, based on your working style.
    • Discover call: A deep, collaborative conversation about your business, your people, and what your site needs to say.
    • Design report: A clear game plan for your site: what goes where, what it says, and a no-surprises schedule.
    • Launch day(s): Your Home page and Action page go live. You’re part of it the whole way — built with you, never just for you — because being part of the launch is what makes it yours.

By the end of this phase, you have a live website with a Home page and an Action page. Done. Real. Yours.

  2. Learn: Real-world feedback to make it better (weeks 3–6)

Now that the site is live, we shift from building to learning. This is where “launch, then learn” kicks in.

    • Learn call: We reflect on what worked, make one round of tweaks, and set up simple experiments to gather real feedback from real people.
    • Learn report: A summary of the launch process, clear guidance for next steps, and tools to start collecting testimonials.
  3. Leverage: Add testimonials and plan what’s next (weeks 6+)

You’ve lived with your site for a few weeks. People have responded. Now we use what we’ve learned.

    • Leverage call: We review what your experiments and feedback told you, see what’s working, and figure out what to improve.
    • Build the Praise page: We select and add your testimonials to a dedicated page on your site.
    • Plan future work: Based on feedback and your business growth, we plan what comes next: content updates, visual improvements, or new features. This conversation is much easier to have once you’ve been living with a real website for a while.

Everything you get

And what changes underneath: a rewritten story. You’re no longer the person who can’t finish the website. You’re the person who did — and who has a process for making it better. That feeling doesn’t go away when the project ends. It changes how you run your business.

Your Investment

$6,000 one time, for the complete process
  • Every call and every report
  • The build itself
  • A full year of hosting and text updates

A website builder subscription is cheaper, but you’ve seen how that goes. An agency would charge a lot more and hand you something you didn’t help build. This is built to sit in the middle: a refined, repeatable process, thirty years of craft, and a partner whose top priority is making sure this launch actually happens where every other attempt didn’t.

And once we’re finished…

Remember the networking event? The one where someone said “I’d love to check out your work,” and you had nothing to show them?

Picture this instead: someone asks, and you smile. You pull up your site. Your site — the one that sounds like you, looks like your work, and makes people say “this is exactly what I was looking for.” You send the link without hesitating. Two days later, you’re scheduling a call with a new client.

The project that’s been sitting on your chest for months? It’s done. Not perfect. Done. And getting better every time you learn something new.

The website stuck in your head? Unlocked and launched.

You’ve got questions

That was a lot to read, and I kinda skipped ahead a bit. What is this?

You got me. I do like words. Here’s the tldr: after struggling to launch my own website for almost 20 years, I’ve built a process to help similarly stuck business owners work through what’s blocking them and launch their own website in as little as 2 weeks.

Can we really do this in two weeks?

Yes!

Really?

Look. It took me almost twenty years to finally get my first website up, so I get the skepticism.

We do have to schedule a few calls, and sometimes life gets in the way and those don’t fit neatly within a two-week timeframe.

And yes, sometimes my clients or I need a little bit more time to do the job well.

It’s a goal, not a guarantee.

But it’s definitely possible. And if you’ve been struggling for a long time … when it happens?

It feels like a miracle!

I’ve started things like this before and never finished.

That’s more a fear than a question, but it’s one that I feel in my bones, so let’s talk about it.

You’ve gotten locked up in the past when you were alone with a project. You won’t be. When you started before, someone handed you tools or instructions, but the momentum stayed your job. Here, the momentum is my job. You stay involved, and I keep things moving.

And I’ve designed the process to give you the most useful website I can while keeping the size of the project as achievable as possible. Techbros describe something like this as an MVP, or “minimum viable product.” I’m hardly a techbro, so I prefer to think of it this way: we are going to build the best site we can with what we have in the time we give ourselves.

What if I hate being visible?

Oh, this is an anxiety I know far too well.

One of the reasons why solo business owners struggle with this task more than others is because your business feels like an extension of yourself. Every aspect of launching your website can start to feel so personal in a way that really raises the stakes. And your anxiety.

I try to keep the stakes low. What we launch at first is an experiment. It’s not the final word on you or your business. And in the weeks that follow, one of the most important sets of data that we gather comes from you. How do you feel now that you have a website? Does that anxiety increase or decrease? Are there adjustments that we could make that would help you to be more comfortable with how it introduces your business?

Here’s what I suspect you’ll find: the website does the visibility thing for you. It answers “so, what do you do?” even when you’re not in the room. That relief makes pushing through the initial anxiety worth it.

What if it isn’t right for me?

No hard feelings. It’s my hope that we’ll be able to figure this out together before we even get started. That’s why I ask to have a conversation with you before you pay anything. That intro conversation is a fit check, not a pitch. If there is a reason why I don’t think this will get you launched, you’ll hear that from me directly. And if you’re not completely on board at the end of our conversation, it gives you a chance to gracefully slow things down so you can think longer about whether something else might work better.

So how do we get started?

First, we have a conversation to make sure that your project is a good fit for both of us. You’ll find links below either to schedule a call or to initiate a conversation over email. If we both decide to work together, I’ll provide you with a contract and payment options, and we’ll schedule your project. I only take on two clients a month so I can give my full attention to one client at a time.

I have so many other questions!

Of course you do. I’ve done my best to answer a number of additional questions on the Questions? page.

Ready to get started?

Let’s talk about whether this is a good fit for your business. A call is often the best way to get started, but if you’re not up for that today, there’s an option to do this over email instead.

Free. Pitch-free. And if this isn’t the right fit, we’ll both know.

Not ready? That’s allowed.
